Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Fastlane Journal continues to ensure that it supports publication of research findings as well as ensuring the author and other stakeholders of their rightful freedoms. Our Intellectual Property (IP) policy aims at presenting the ownership, use and sharing of IP rights with regard to the articles and other content in our journals.
Copyright Ownership
Authors’ Rights: The authors have the ownership of the copyright of articles produced and they have full freedom to make use of the articles published including in any other format. In submitting their manuscript to Fastlane Journal, the authors hereby transfer to the journal copyrights, a non-exclusive license to publish and disseminate the work in all current and future media formats.
Transfer of Rights: Manuscript authors sign guarantees copyrights conveyance to Fastlane Journal upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication. This transfer makes sure that the journal has the right to publish, reproduce and disseminate the work worldwide.
License and Permissions
Every single publication in Fastlane Journal is licensed under open-access so that anyone can read it, share it, and use it provided that the original work is being credited.
Authors may choose between different types of Creative Commons licenses, such as:
- CC BY (Attribution): Will allow others to use and repurpose the work as long as credit is given to the original creator.
- CC BY-NC (Attribution-Noncommercial): Allows use and modification for purposes other than commercial use.
- CC BY-NC-ND (Attribution-Noncommercial-Noderivs): Can be freely shared as long as it is accompanied by an attribution, however it can’t be edited or used commercially.
Plagiarism and Originality
No submitted work should be a copy and must not involve the infringement of the copyrights of other individuals. Any work produced for publication by authors has to be original with no earlier publication and free from any form of plagiarism. Fastlane Journal relies on plagiarism detection technology to run a check on all articles submitted. Manuscripts which are proved to contain plagiarism will not be accepted; and authors may not submit materials to this journal in the future.
Use of Third-Party Material
In addition, any artwork or illustration(s), figure(s), graph(s) and text excerpt(s) included in the submitted manuscript that was created by other person(s) requires written permission for use and should be properly acknowledged in the manuscript. It remains the responsibility of the author to seek permission for use of any part of the third-party content as Fastlane Journal will not be held liable for any infringement of the third-party content.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Author
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and preparing the manuscript. The other participants that may not qualify for the authorship should be recognized differently.
It is mandatory for authors to disclose the responsibilities of the co-authors at the time of manuscript submission.
Data and Supplemental Material
It is recommended that authors publish the underlying data from their research. Such data is owned by the authors. Any additional material that is made available as part of this article (e.g. datasets, multimedia) must be clearly captioned and the source of the material specified.
Dispute Resolution
In the case of any controversy arising concerning the ownership of patents or copyrights, authors and Fastlane Journal will consult and negotiate in order to amicably solve the issue. Where an amicable solution is not reached, the matter shall be referred to an independent arbitrator or to legal body as may be agreed between the parties.
Updates to the Policy
Fastlane Journal retains the right to modify or alter this Intellectual Property Policy at any time. Authors will be informed of major changes to this policy. All authors who are submitting their manuscript to us for publication are bound by this Intellectual Property Policy.
