Peer Review Process

Fastlane Journal operates a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and objectivity. In this, the authors and the reviewers do not know each other and ensure that the review is done impartially and fairly.

All the manuscripts which successfully pass through the first editorial screening are forwarded to at least two reviewers who are independent and whose expertise is relevant to the area of study. The selectors of the reviewers are based on knowledge, experience, and capacity to give constructive feedback. They assess every submission according to some major features such as originality, methodological rigor, presentation clarity, importance of findings, relevancy to the scope of the journal, and ethical considerations.

The peer review process is designed in such a way that it gives detailed and practical feedback to the authors. The reviewers are requested to write about the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript in terms of major and minor issues and give a recommendation to the editorial staff. The editorial decisions that could be made are Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions (Revise and Resubmit), and Reject. The authors are expected to respond to the comments of the reviewers in revising their manuscripts.

In the course of the review process Fastlane Journal maintains high levels of confidentiality and ethical standards. The manuscripts content should never be disclosed or utilized by reviewers to their own benefit, and any conflict of interest should be disclosed before they take up a review assignment. Likewise, editors disqualify themselves to deal with manuscripts they have a conflict of interest in.

The journal is committed to timely and efficient peer review, ensuring that authors receive clear decisions and constructive feedback within the specified review period of between 10 to 15 days. This is not only beneficial in ensuring the upholding of the scholarly quality of work published but also helps the journal achieve its mission of quick and trustworthy sharing of research in the fields.

Fastlane Journal acknowledges the service of its reviewers and can offer official recognition by presentation of yearly awards and certificates to reviewers, but will maintain anonymity and integrity of the peer review process.
